Fortunately, all occupants managed to evacuate to safety when the blaze broke out around 1:35 pm.

The Saratok Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC) has since opened a temporary relief centre (PPS) at Sri Krian Community Hall at 5:00 pm to house the affected residents.

No injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.

Meanwhile, the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said firefighters from Saratok station were deployed to the scene following an emergency call.

Firefighting operations were carried out using water from a nearby fire hydrant until the blaze was successfully brought under control.
