KUCHING: Police will be implementing a temporary road closure at Jalan Sultan Tengah here, specifically the junction near Damai Golf and Country Club, to facilitate the Borderland Music Festival 2025 at the Sarawak Cultural Village.

The affected road will be closed from 3:00 pm to midnight on Friday (September 5) and Saturday (September 6).

Kuching Police chief, ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, said the temporary closure would be necessary to manage traffic flow in the area due to the limited road capacity and parking spaces.

“Visitors are required to park their vehicles at the Damai Golf and Country Club junction and proceed to the event venue using the shuttle service provided.

“Festival-goers are reminded not to park indiscriminately as it may obstruct traffic,” he said.

Alexson also advised members of the public to plan their journeys to avoid congestion.

For further enquiries, they may contact the Kuching Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division at 082-259900.
