BETONG: A pedestrian was left injured after he was struck by a vehicle in front of Dewan Panglima Rentap Betong earlier today (Sept 7).
The accident happened at around 12.05am when a Proton Saga driven by a man collided into the victim, in his 40s, pinning him under the vehicle.
Firefighters from Betong station, who were dispatched to the scene following an emergency call, used specialised equipment to lift the car before freeing the victim.
He was later handed over to paramedics for immediate treatment, though the extent of his injuries was not immediately known.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the rescue operation at 12.37 am.
