SIMANGGANG: Shanelle Ellyssa Justine was crowned Miss Tourism Benak 2025 during the grand finale of the pageant, held in conjunction with the just concluded Benak Festival last Saturday (Sept 20) here.
The first runner-up title went to Jelsi Jass Ellyvera James, while Zyinia Zyian Normand was named second runner-up.
Several subsidiary awards were also presented, with Best Dress awarded to Melanie Melvy Betong, Miss Photogenic to Mazzaellyn Brasenia Umang Thomas Inau, Miss Talented to Shera Lida Minchong and Miss Popular to Claudia Sherene Jilin.
Prizes were presented by Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, who is also Simanggang assemblyman and advisor to the 2025 Benak Festival Main Committee.
The event, one of the highlights of the annual Benak Festival, attracted thousands of visitors who were treated to a showcase of elegance and charm under the theme “Elegance in Harmony”.
Beyond celebrating beauty and talent, the pageant also served as a platform to strengthen the festival’s role in promoting tourism, culture and the unique identity of Sri Aman to both state and international audiences.
Also present were Lingga assemblywoman Dayang Noorazah Awang Sohor and Sri Aman Resident Mahra Salleh, the Benak Festival main committee chairman.
