LUNDU: Lundu once again made headlines in the bodybuilding arena when Jwendy Joshua carved his own place in history after being crowned the overall “Champion of Champions” (CoC) at the Mr Kuching 2025 competition held in Kuching from Aug 20 to 24.

This proud achievement came after he won first place in the Over 75.1kg Bodybuilding Category, firmly establishing his dominance on the competition stage.

Following this victory, Jwendy represented Kuching at Mr Sarawak in Miri on Sept 5 and 6, where he claimed first place in the Light Middleweight 80kg category and emerged as runner-up for Mr Sarawak 2025.

These wins have qualified him to represent Sarawak at the national-level Mr. Malaysia 2025, which will take place in Kuantan, Pahang, from Sept 25 to 29.

Jwendy’s success is seen as proof that this small district is capable of producing remarkable talent with the potential to bring glory to Sarawak on a bigger stage.

His achievement also caught the attention and support of Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang, who expressed his appreciation and offered a personal contribution as encouragement to the athlete, particularly to help cover expenses for the upcoming national competition.

“This achievement proves that hard work and perseverance never go to waste. Jwendy, who hails from Kampung Sebiris, Lundu, is an inspiration to rural youth, showing that bodybuilding not only strengthens the body but also builds mental resilience and self-discipline,” Billy said when met by the media after presenting the contribution.
