Mayor extends Deepavali greetings to DBKU staff

KUCHING: Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) Mayor Datuk Hilmy Othman took time off to meet with his Indian staff in conjunction with the upcoming Deepavali celebration on Oct 20.

The session saw Hilmy exchanging greetings and engaging in light conversations with the staff about their festive preparations for this year’s Diwali celebration.

As a gesture of respect and appreciation for cultural diversity within DBKU, he presented gifts to four staff members who will be celebrating the festival.

Hilmy also conveyed his well wishes, expressing hope that Deepavali will be celebrated joyfully with family and friends while continuing to strengthen unity and harmony among DBKU’s workforce.

Among those present were DBKU Corporate Services Department deputy director Kartini Bushra, Community Services Department deputy director Rudzaimeir Malek, and Regulatory Services Department deputy director Siti Fatimah Jamail.
