MIRI: A kitchen fire believed to have been triggered by a faulty electrical appliance broke out at a house in Kampung Senadin early this morning (Oct 19).
Lutong Fire and Rescue Station chief Henry Jugah said a distress call was received at 6.28am, prompting the immediate dispatch of a team in a fire engine.

The crew arrived at the scene within six minutes.
Firefighters found that the blaze had already been put out by the occupants before their arrival. Initial checks indicated that the fire started from an electrical appliance in the kitchen, causing minor damage to the area.
No one was injured in the incident. It was learnt that the homeowner had been away for the past two days.
The team later carried out a safety inspection and cordoned off part of the kitchen to facilitate further investigation.
Losses were estimated at around RM4,000.
The operation was officially concluded at 7.08 am.
