KOTA KINABALU, Sabah: The main road entrance to Istana Seri Kinabalu here tonight is being tightly guarded by police personnel.

BERNAMA’s observations found that every vehicle passing through the main gate was inspected, and only those on the approved list were allowed to pass the checkpoint.

Media personnel began gathering outside the palace as early as 6:00 pm to cover the latest developments following the conclusion of the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN) at 5:30 pm earlier today.

Meanwhile, candidates who contested have started gathering at their respective party headquarters, including Barisan Nasional at the UMNO Sabah Building, while Gabungan Rakyat Sabah gathered at the Chief Minister’s official residence in Sri Gaya.

Pakatan Harapan, on the other hand, gathered at the Pacific Sutera Hotel, attended by PKR Secretary-General, Datuk Dr Fuziah Salleh; Parti Amanah Negara, President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu; and Sabah PKR Chairman, Datuk Mustapha Sakmud.

Warisan candidates gathered at the Avangio Hotel here, with attendees including Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Datuk Mohammad Yusof Apdal. – BERNAMA
