MIRI: A Sarawakian woman has put Malaysia firmly on the global stage after clinching a major international title at the Mrs Worldwide 2025 pageant in Singapore.

Jennie Enggah, 40, from Ulu Teru Tinjar in Baram, made an impressive debut at the competition on November 1, outperforming contestants from 30 countries to secure a place in the Top 10 and win the Mrs Heritage Worldwide title.

The accolade recognised her strong presentation of Malaysian heritage and identity, setting her apart in a competition that placed equal emphasis on advocacy, confidence and cultural representation.

Her success has since opened doors internationally. Jennie has been invited to serve as a judge at the Mrs Asia Pacific International pageant scheduled to take place in Johor on December 1, underscoring her growing influence within the global pageant circuit.

At the same event, she was also named Best Supporting Queen of the Year 2025 in recognition of her sustained involvement in women empowerment initiatives.

Speaking on her participation, Jennie said the competition was never solely about winning a crown but about challenging perceptions and inspiring women to recognise their own potential, regardless of age or background.

She stressed the importance of courage, self-belief and balance, particularly for women juggling professional responsibilities, family life and personal growth.

“As women, we must be brave and not afraid to face challenges. We should continue to expand our capabilities and balance our roles, whether as professionals or homemakers,” she said.

Jennie’s achievement reinforces a broader narrative that international success is no longer confined to youth or conventional backgrounds, positioning her as a role model for Malaysian women seeking to redefine success on their own terms.
