MIRI: Wah Tung Group uphold its Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by giving and show care to the Miri Methodist Children’s Home recently.

The visit went beyond a symbolic call, offering meaningful engagement with the children and educators at the home to foster encouragement, build confidence and strengthen the human connection.

The programme began with a courtesy call on the orphanage principal and teaching staff, where Wah Tung Group representatives were briefed on the home’s history, daily operations and the challenges faced by its residents.

Wah Tung Group’s team spent time interacting directly with the children through simple but engaging activities, creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that encouraged participation, teamwork and positive social interaction.

A key moment of the visit was a short motivational address by Mr Allaistair, representing Wah Tung Group’s management, who urged the children to believe in their potential, remain resilient in the face of challenges and stay focused on building a better future.

The mood lightened further with a lively carolling session, as staff and children sang festive songs together, filling the home with laughter and warmth. The visit concluded with the presentation of gifts and festive treats, collectively contributed by Wah Tung Group, followed by a group photograph to mark the occasion.

Wah Tung Group said the initiative reflects its belief that corporate success must go hand in hand with social responsibility. The group stressed that supporting vulnerable children is not a one-off gesture, but part of a broader commitment to creating lasting, positive impact within the communities it serves.
