KUCHING: Pullman Kuching ushered in the Lunar New Year in style with its annual Appreciation Night, welcoming corporate partners, travel agents and media guests to an exclusive preview of its highly anticipated 2026 Chinese New Year reunion menus.

The evening marked a celebration of gratitude, partnership and the beginning of a new festive dining chapter at one of Kuching’s leading hotels.

Themed ‘The Golden Horse Homecoming’, the event drew inspiration from the Lunar New Year tradition of reunion and togetherness.

More than a menu preview, the night reflected Pullman Kuching’s vision of festive dining as a meaningful experience, where families, friends and business partners come together around the table to celebrate new beginnings.

As part of its festive highlights, Pullman Kuching unveiled its signature Lunar New Year’s experience, Lantern Night 2026 Lunar New Year’s Eve Reunion Dinner, set to take place at the newly redesigned Colosseum Ballroom.

Reunion menu pays homage to classic Cantonese traditions while incorporating modern finesse.

Designed as a refined yet contemporary take on the traditional New Year’s Eve celebration, the event promises an elevated dining and cultural experience in an elegant setting.

“Lunar New Year is a time when the table becomes the heart of every celebration. The Year of the Horse symbolises momentum and progress, values that align with Pullman Kuching’s transformation journey.

“This festive season, we invite guests to celebrate at a place where Kuching comes together.” said its General Manager, Sunardi Song.

Curated by Executive Chinese Chef Charles, the reunion menu pays homage to classic Cantonese traditions while incorporating modern finesse.

Designed for sharing, the menu captures the essence of prosperity, harmony and abundance, key elements of Lunar New Year celebrations.

Guests can look forward to an opulent Yee Sang topped with whole abalone, followed by delicately prepared Cantonese crab meat soup, Teochew-style steamed grouper and pan-seared sea prawns glazed in honey black pepper sauce. Each dish is thoughtfully crafted to symbolise good fortune, unity and a prosperous year ahead.

Enhancing the evening is a festive line-up of cultural performances, including 24 Festive Drums, a Chinese Orchestra and Crosstalk, creating a vibrant atmosphere that mirrors the joy and energy of the season.

The Lantern Night 2026 Lunar New Year’s Eve Reunion Dinner will be held on February 16, 2026, from 6 pm to 10 pm, priced at RM2,388+ per table.

For those seeking a more relaxed celebration, Culina, Pullman Kuching’s vibrant Pan-Asian restaurant, offers a Lunar New Year’s Eve Buffet designed for easy, joyful gatherings. Ideal for families, the buffet combines festive favourites with comfort dining in a warm, casual setting.
