SIMUNJAN: A man sustained minor injuries after his vehicle was involved in an accident at Simpang TUDM Simunjan along Jalan Simunjan early this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received an emergency call at 6.17am and dispatched a team from the Simunjan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) to the scene.
Firefighters arrived at 6.27am and found a Perodua Alza involved in a single-vehicle crash, with the driver trapped in the driver’s seat and unable to exit the vehicle.
The operations team used special rescue tools to force open the vehicle door and extricated the victim, who was later handed over to Ministry of Health (MoH) ambulance personnel for further treatment and taken to hospital.
The operation ended at 7.05am after firefighters ensured the area was safe.
