SIBU: Lawyer Boston Ho Teck Howe has been elected as the 28th president of the Lions Club of Sibu Pahlawan (LCSP).
Ho who had served as the club’s 1st vice president assumed the post following the club’s Annual General Meeting here recently.
His term of office will commence on July 1 and conclude on June 30 next year.
The immediate past president is James Wong Ha Seng.
A press release from LCSP on Monday (Feb 23) stated that Ho, who is known for his integrity, discipline, and commitment to excellence, has been an active and dedicated Lion who consistently upholds the spirit of “We Serve.”
His election signifies a leadership style grounded in professionalism, compassion, and progressive vision, positioning the club for greater impact in the coming year.
The other newly elected board of directors are Albert Liu as the lst Vice President; Gilbert Lai (2nd Vice President); Tiau Kiu Ung (Secretary); Siew Chow Nguong (Treasurer); Clement Tie (Membership Chairperson); Toh Jack Kuong (Club LCIF Coordinator ); Ngu Tai Hing (Service Chairperson); Diana Teng (Marketing & Communications Chairperson); and Tiong Chung Hia (Tamer).
Other directors include Pok Chee Hua, Sam Dieu, Dennis Liew, Ellen Lu, James Ting and
Loo Yong Han
To further enhance operational efficiency and service effectiveness, Ho has established two key pillars within the club structure: Administrative Management Committee and Activity & Service Committee.
This dual-structured framework, the statement said, ensures strong internal governance while expanding the club’s outreach and service footprint within the community.
“Under the leadership of Ho, the club will continue to uphold its proud legacy while embracing innovation and collaboration, ensuring that the spirit of “Pahlawan” (Heroism) shines brightly through dedicated service and compassionate action,” the statement added.
