BAU: A local man was arrested for allegedly serving as a top-up and registration agent for online gambling during a police inspection at a shop premises here on Tuesday (Feb 24).
Bau police chief DSP Mohd Haide A. Rahman said the arrest was made at about 4.05pm by officers from the Criminal Investigation Division.
He said the suspect was detained at the scene and several related items were seized to assist investigations.
The case is being investigated under Section 4B(a) of the Common Gaming Houses Act 1953.
