KOTA SAMARAHAN: Two houses were completely razed in a midday fire, leaving their occupants homeless.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), a distress call was received at 12.33pm today regarding a fire at Kampung Bukit Berangan.
Firefighters from the Kota Samarahan station were immediately dispatched to the scene, with assistance from the Tabuan Jaya fire station.
“Upon the team’s arrival at 12.48 pm, two single-storey houses were already on fire and extinguishing operations were carried out.



“According to reports, both houses were 100 per cent destroyed, while a Perodua Kancil sustained 40 per cent damage,” it said.
Firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze and subsequently carried out overhaul operations to ensure the fire was fully put out.
No casualties were reported, and the operations concluded at 3.15 pm.
