KUCHING: Kuching City FC (KCFC) has warned the public against the unauthorised use of its logo and the sale of unlicensed merchandise bearing the team’s name and branding.
The club said it had identified cases of merchandise being manufactured, distributed and sold without authorisation using the Kuching City F.C. name, logo and associated branding elements.
The club stressed that the production, distribution or sale of such items violates its intellectual property rights and is strictly prohibited.
The club in a statement that it issued that merchandise sold through unaffiliated outlets, including stores operating on various online digital platforms, are not endorsed by KCFC or its strategic partners.
KCFC warned that the sale of counterfeit or unlicensed merchandise could mislead supporters into believing the products are official items, which may compromise the integrity of its brand.
It added that legal action may be taken against individuals or organisations involved in the production, distribution or sale of unauthorised merchandise and urged those responsible to immediately cease such activities.
Supporters are advised to purchase authentic merchandise only through official outlets or licensed retailers, including the KCFC Direct official club shop, as well as authorised partners Lea Sports Centre and Starsport.
The club also encouraged members of the public to report suspected infringements through official channels, stressing that protecting the team’s brand helps safeguard its operations and support the development of local football talent.
