BAU: About 120 pupils of Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Segong have been ferried home by boat today (March 10) after heavy rain caused rising water levels in the surrounding area.

Firefighters from the Bau station were deployed to assist the pupils and 14 teachers after receiving a call at about 11am.

Upon arrival at 11.25 am, the team helped transport the pupils and teachers from the school to a safer area.

The operation involved six firefighters using one fire rescue tender (FRT) and was assisted by police and Civil Defence personnel.
