BAU: A mentally challenged 62-year-old man was found safe after going missing in Kampung Opar, Bau, earlier today.
Lehem Diok, who was reported missing while on his way to a farm in the Tiribuh area, was located at the roadside near Padang Sawit SELCRA Bau, 11 km from his home, at around 9:35am.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) responded promptly to the call and began the search at 8:30am from the last known location of the victim.
The operation ended at 10:30am after Lehem was sent to Bau Hospital for a health check.
The incident began on Mar 11 when villagers reported seeing Lehem leave his home around 8:30am heading toward the farm.
His family was alerted shortly thereafter, prompting the search operation.
Bomba thanked all involved for their swift action in finding the missing man.
