The high-impact initiative, financed by Yayasan Peneraju and implemented by Sarawak Skills, ran from November 2025 to January 2026, strengthening participants’ capabilities in key areas of critical digital marketing competencies to meet industry demands.
Yayasan Peneraju’s Chief Executive Officer, Ibrahim Sani, said the programme reflects efforts to empower Malaysians with future-ready skills.
“Digital marketing is no longer optional, it is essential. These hundreds of graduates represent a new wave of talent who are equipped to contribute meaningfully to the digital economy.
“We are proud to support initiatives like this that not only enhance employability but also enable participants to become creators, entrepreneurs and digital leaders within their communities,” he said when officiating the ceremony recently at Sarawak Skill on April 8.
Meanwhile, Sarawak Skills’ Executive Director, Hallman Sabr, highlighted the collaborative effort behind the programme and its impact on local talent development.

The Strategic Digital Marketing Programme is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen Malaysia’s digital talent pipeline, particularly among Bumiputera communities, in line with national aspirations for a digitally driven economy.
Delivered in three batches, each comprising eight intensive training days, the programme attracted participants from across Sarawak, including Kuching, Sri Aman, Miri and Mukah.
It focused on practical, industry-relevant areas such as social media strategy, content creation, digital advertising and data-driven marketing to bridge the digital skills gap.
To further empower participants and ensure they are fully equipped for success, graduates of the programme are provided with a complimentary laptop, along with free subscriptions to essential digital tools such as Canva and ChatGPT.
These resources enable them to immediately apply their skills, enhance their creativity, and remain competitive in the evolving digital landscape.
