KUCHING: Head of State (TYT), Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, is set to attend the Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) 70th anniversary celebration and the closing of the ‘Forum Remaja MADANI’ competition.
His wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, is also expected to be present.
The invitation was conveyed during a courtesy call by a DBP delegation at Astana Negeri here today (April 20).
The delegation was led by DBP Director-General, Dr Hazami Jahari, who presented the official invitation for the event, which will also feature the closing ceremony of the ‘Forum Remaja MADANI, Piala TYT Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak 2026’ event.
During the meeting, DBP also briefed Wan Junaidi on the progress of a book currently being prepared on him, which is still undergoing editing.
Also present were DBP Sarawak Branch’s Director, Dr Azizul Ismail, and other senior officers.
