KUCHING: PMB Investment Berhad (PMB Investment) has launched a syariah-compliant wholesale fund for investors seeking stable income and capital preservation.

The PMB Shariah Fixed Price Income Wholesale Fund is tailored exclusively for sophisticated investors, including institutions, corporates and high-net-worth individuals.

PMB Investment, a wholly owned subsidiary of Pelaburan MARA Bhd, said the fund is designed to generate stable and regular income while seeking to maintain liquidity and preserve capital.

It explained that the fund will invest in a diversified portfolio of syariah-compliant assets, including Islamic fixed income instruments, syariah-compliant equities, collective investment schemes, and Islamic deposits.

PMB Investment’s Chairman, Datuk Mohd Idzwan Izuddin Abdul Rahman, said the fund reflected the company’s response to rising demand for syariah-compliant income solutions.

“We believe it is well-positioned to serve as a robust vehicle for capital preservation and sustainable income generation in an increasingly uncertain market environment,” he said.

Meanwhile, PMB Investment’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hang Tuah Amin Tajudin, said the company was also looking beyond traditional fund management as it expanded into areas linked to sustainability and syariah governance.

“PMB Investment is focused on shaping the next phase of value creation. This includes expanding into future-facing asset classes such as carbon credits, while continuing to provide stable and syariah-compliant income solutions for institutional investors.

“Our role goes beyond fund management; we are building an integrated ecosystem that connects capital, sustainability, and syariah governance,” he said.
