KUCHING: Two luxury vehicles were seized during Road Transport Department (RTD) enforcement operations around the city here recently.
Sarawak RTD said a Toyota Alphard and Toyota Lexus RX200T inspected during ‘Ops Luxury’ were found with expired Motor Vehicle Licences (LKM) and insurance coverage.
“The vehicles were seized in accordance with existing laws,” it said in a statement.
The department reminded road users that vehicle status or category is not an excuse to ignore road safety responsibilities.
It added that enforcement operations would continue and stern action would be taken against offenders regardless of vehicle type.
