SRI AMAN: Police arrested a 30-year-old local man and seized suspected syabu during a drug raid at a house in Kampung Menalang B, Undop, here yesterday (May 25).
Sri Aman police chief Supt Dennis Bunyam said the suspect was detained by a team from the district Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) about 8.30 am.
A search of the house led to the discovery of a transparent plastic packet containing suspected syabu weighing 0.25 gramme.
“The drugs were found inside a black-and-green cigarette box labelled Era Black Menthol,” he said in a statement.
Initial urine screening also found that the suspect tested positive for amphetamine and methamphetamine.
“The suspect is expected to be remanded at the Sri Aman Magistrate’s Court to assist in investigations,” he added.
