KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, have been invited to attend the state-level Sarawak Day Celebration 2026 in Sibu.
The invitation was presented during a courtesy call by the Main Committee for the Sarawak Day Celebration 2026, led by Transport Minister and Minister-in-Charge Datuk Seri Lee Kim Shin, at Astana Negeri Sarawak today.
The Sarawak Day Celebration 2026 will take place in the Sibu Division from July 20 to 22.
Among the main events scheduled for Wan Junaidi and Fauziah to attend are the Thanksgiving Ceremony on July 21 at Masjid An-Nur, followed by the Unity Walk, Sarawak Day Exhibition, Sarawak Day Gathering and Konsert Rakyat on July 22 at Dataran Tun Tuanku Haji Bujang.
Also accompanying Lee during the courtesy call were Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh; Deputy Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government Datuk Dr Penguang Manggil; Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Corporate Affairs and Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS)) Datuk Abdullah Saidol; and Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) Datuk Dr Juanda Jaya.
