KUALA LUMPUR: Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg attended the National Energy Council Meeting No. 1/2026 at the Main Meeting Room, Members of Parliament and Administration Building, Parliament Malaysia, today.
The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Abang Johari arrived at Parliament at about 8:55 am and was welcomed by Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof.
Also accompanying the Premier at the meeting were Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Datuk Dr Hazland Abang Hipni; Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability’s Permanent Secretary, Datuk Abang Ahmad Abang Morni; and Sarawak Climate and Energy Diplomacy Unit’s (SACED) Director, Ir Dr Angelia Liew San Chuin.
The National Energy Council meeting brought together federal and state leaders to discuss matters related to the country’s energy sector.
