KOTA SAMARAHAN: Three local men were arrested for drink-driving while 20 traffic summonses were issued during ‘Ops Mabuk’ conducted along Jalan La Promenade here early Friday (Jul 31).
Kota Samarahan Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, said 73 vehicles and 81 individuals were inspected during the operations, which ran from 11:00 pm on Thursday until 3:00 am Friday.
“Four motorists underwent preliminary alcohol screening using the SD2+ device, with three testing positive for alcohol,” he said.
Irwan Hafiz said the three men were detained for further action under the Road Transport Act 1987.
“Police will continue conducting enforcement operations to curb drink-driving and enhance road safety,” he said.
