BAU: An American man was injured after the Perodua Bezza he was travelling in collided with a lorry near Kampung Grogo here today.
The 75-year-old victim was found with head injuries following the crash at around 12.15 pm.
Members of the public had already assisted in removing the victim from the vehicle before emergency responders arrived.
It was reported that the lorry driver escaped unharmed in the accident.
Firefighters from Bau station were dispatched to the scene, about eight kilometres away, following a distress call.
Upon arrival, the team administered initial treatment for the victim before transporting him to hospital for further medical attention.
Once the situation was deemed safe, the team ended the operation at 12:55 pm.
