Fadillah resumes Cabinet meetings after heart surgery

KUCHING: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Amar Fadillah Yusof has resumed attending Cabinet meetings after undergoing heart bypass surgery and taking medical leave to recover.

Fadillah said he was grateful to be able to rejoin his Cabinet colleagues at the meeting in Putrajaya today (Sept 9).

“Alhamdulillah, today I had the opportunity to attend the Cabinet meeting again after undergoing heart bypass surgery and resting throughout my medical leave.

“I am very grateful and happy to be back with my Cabinet colleagues at today’s meeting,” he said in a Facebook posting.

Fadillah also expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and fellow Cabinet members for their concern, prayers and support throughout his treatment.

Fadillah also wished everyone good health and continued wellbeing, while expressing hope that all entrusted with responsibilities would be able to carry out their duties to the best of their ability.
