KAPIT: Eight hundred people attended a pre-Gawai Dayak dinner at the civic centre here on Sunday.
A deputy chief minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing was a guest-of-honour at the event.
At the function, Masing pointed out that a month-long on-going Gawai Dayak Bazaar at an old airstrip along Jalan Airport here has provided an opportunity for Dayak entrepreneurs earn extra for the Gawai Dayak celebration.
The bazaar will come to a close on 28 May, he added.
