BINTULU: A shophouse was razed by a fire early yesterday morning with two explosions heard.
No injuries or casualties were reported during the incident which occurred at Jalan Tanjung Batu, Kemena Commercial Centre here.
Firemen from the Bintulu fire station were mobilised to the scene in response to an alert received at 7.58am.
It was learnt that the fire was spotted on the fourth floor of the building which was used to house workers.
By the time the firemen arrived, the blaze already destroyed 60 percent of the upper floor of the building.
The actual cause of the incident has yet to be determined as investigations are underway.
