BINTANGOR: A woman died while two others were left injured in a fatal crash along Jalan KJD last night (June 2).
The accident happened around 10.15pm when their car skidded and crashed into a road divider, resulting in the victim being trapped in the front-seat.
Firefighters from Bintangor station was dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon arrival, they carried out extrication works to free the trapped victim.
However, the victim identified as 22-year-old Emilya Epah was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and her body was handed over to the police for further actions.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old driver, who sustained minor injuries on his left arm, managed to exit the vehicle on his own.
The 19-year-old back-seat passenger, who sustained a broken left leg, was assisted out of the vehicle by paramedics.
Both victims received treatment on-site before they are taken to the hospital for further medical attention.
