SARIKEI: An eight-month-old cat found itself trapped on the roof of a house after exploring at Jalan Abang Haji Karim here today (Dec 11).
The incident occurred around 11.30 am when the cat’s owner, a 50-year-old woman, heard her furry friend’s meows coming from the rooftop.
Concerned for the cat’s well-being, she quickly dialled the Civil Defence Force (APM) for assistance.
APM Sarikei district officer Lt Shahrol Azizi Zaidi reported that a four-member team was dispatched to rescue the feline.
The team used a ladder to carefully bring the stranded cat down from the roof and reunite it with its owner.
The rescue operation was completed in just six minutes.
