MIRI: In a demonstration of corporate social responsibility (CSR), Noble Dominance Sdn Bhd and Bright Star Resources Sdn Bhd have donated 35 food baskets to the Wireless Walk Miri Traders Association to support small traders affected by the current economic challenges.

Each food basket contains essential supplies such as rice, cooking oil, sugar and canned food, aimed at easing the financial burden of the recipients.

Managing Director of Bright Star Resources, Jekeria Abdul Pata, emphasised the companies’ commitment in supporting local businesses.

“We understand the difficulties faced by small traders, especially in business hubs like Wireless Walk Miri.

“We hope this contribution will help lighten their burden and encourage them to continue their businesses,” he said.

Jekeria also expressed gratitude for the collaboration with Noble Dominance Sdn Bhd in providing food aid in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadan.

“This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment in supporting the local community and ensuring their welfare is taken care of,” he added.

Chairman of the Wireless Walk Miri Traders Association, Mohamad Abdullah Jamin, also extended his appreciation to both companies for their generosity.

“We are truly grateful for this donation. It serves as motivation for traders to persevere despite the challenges they face,” he said.

The food baskets will be distributed this Saturday at 4 pm at Wireless Walk Miri.
