KUCHING: A 34-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle crash at Sentosa Parade here in the early hours today (May 8).
The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said it received a distress call at 1.32am and deployed a team from the Kota Sentosa station to the scene, located opposite Bank Rakyat.
Upon arrival, firefighters found the victim inside a sedan.
Rescuers used specialised road traffic accident (RTA) equipment to extricate the victim before he was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel.
The deceased was later identified as Sim Chin Leong.
The body was handed over to the police for further action after the operation ended at 5.10am.
