MIRI: A lorry parked beside a home here was destroyed in a fire this afternoon (Apr 26).
Firefighters were called at 1.41 pm to Jalan Desa Pujut, off Jalan Datuk Permaisuri in Bandar Permai Jaya, where the vehicle was already ablaze.
A crew from the Lutong Fire Station, led by operation commander PBK I Faizul Ali, arrived to find the disused lorry engulfed in flames. Firefighters used a hose line from their engine to bring the fire under control.
No injuries were reported, and nearby homes were not affected.
The cause of the fire has not been established.
