BINTULU: Two Honda City cars, a Honda Civic, three Proton Saga cars and a trailer carrying them were destroyed by fire at Mile 16 Jalan Bintulu- Miri near Sebauh Junction yesterday.
Firemen from Bintulu were deployed to the scene after being informed that a trailer had caught fire around 2.16pm.
By the time the firemen arrived, six cars at the rear of the trailer were engulfed in flames while two other cars were safe.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Firemen managed to bring the fire under control around 3.50pm.
The actual cause of the incident is not immediately known as investigations are underway.
