KUCHING: Firemen were summoned to a house in Taman Jasmine, Bintulu on Sunday to rescue a toddler, whose foot got stuck inside the bathroom floor trap.

Eight personnel from the Bintulu fire stationled by Fire Officer Mohd Johari were dispatched to the house following a distress call received at 7.21pm, and spent several minutes to free the girl of her predicament.

“Following a distress call, the firemen arrived at the house at 7.31pm and, after assessing the situation, commenced freeing the girl’s right leg in a matter of minutes,” said a spokesperson from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba).

The operation ended at 8.30pm and the toddlers, aged 2 years and three months, was sent to a hospital for a medical checkup.
