LUNDU: Five agricultural road projects implemented in the Opar constituency under the Minor Rural Project Grant (MRP) and Rural Transformation Programme (RTP) have met the required specifications and are ready to benefit local communities.

Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang conducted a final inspection of the five projects in several villages within the constituency on Thursday (June 18).

The visit aimed to assess the implementation of the projects and ensure all works complied with specifications set by the implementing agency before being handed over for public use.

Among the projects inspected were the construction of a new agricultural road to Batu Wangkang in Kampung Pasir Tengah worth RM170,500, the upgrading of the Benjay Phase 2 agricultural road in Kampung Pasir Hulu valued at RM250,000, the upgrading of the agricultural road in Kampung Semapu costing RM277,605, the upgrading of the agricultural road in Kampung Judin worth RM432,800, and the upgrading of the agricultural road in Kampung Temaga Dayak.

For the Kampung Pasir Hulu Phase 2 project, the scope of works involved the construction of a 444-metre road, including a culvert and crossing.

Meanwhile, the Kampung Temaga Dayak project comprised the construction of a 1.6-kilometre road involving two road alignments and the installation of three 900-millimetre culverts.

The inspection found that all five projects had fulfilled the specifications set by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID) based on the approved scope of work.
