MARUDI: Water levels were slowly receding in six flood-affected areas in Marudi district as of this morning.
These six flood-affected areas are Marudi town; Kampung Dagang; Kampung Narum; Marudi Waterfront; Kampung Padang Kerbau and Marudi ferry wharf.
According to a report by Marudi Fire and Rescue Department, the floodwaters were receding due to moderately improved weather conditions for the past two days.
The floodwater level receded by up to four inches as of early this morning.
However, despite the flooding is still on, the main road within the town area is still passable to vehicles.
