SIBURAN: Village Development and Security Committees (JKKKs), clubs and associations have been encouraged to submit funding applications in a comprehensive and well-planned manner to facilitate the assessment and approval of projects.
Minister for Education, Innovation and Talent Development Datuk Seri Roland Sagah Wee Inn said preparing complete proposals for each project would help streamline the evaluation process, particularly for initiatives involving public facilities and places of worship.
“If a project involves the construction or upgrading of a community hall or a place of worship, submit all the requirements together with a complete and reasonable cost estimate. This will enable the application to be assessed more efficiently and considered as a whole,” he said when speaking at the 2026 Special Projects Fund Cheque Presentation ceremony for the Tarat constituency held here recently.
A total of RM1,785,872 was distributed to 133 recipients comprising JKKKs, clubs, associations, as well as government and non-government organisations to implement various community development projects and activities across the Tarat constituency.
Sagah, who is Tarat assemblyman, encouraged applicants seeking funding for educational institutions and places of worship to submit their applications through the appropriate channels and relevant agencies to ensure the assistance could be processed in a more organised and effective manner.
He urged recipients to use the allocations for their approved purposes and to submit expenditure reports at the end of the year as part of good governance and sound financial management.
“Every allocation should be utilised optimally to implement programmes and projects that bring meaningful benefits to the community, while ensuring that public funds are managed transparently, responsibly and with integrity,” he said.
