KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, received a farewell courtesy call from the director of Sarawak Regional Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Datuk Fenny Nuli, at the Astana Negeri today.
Fenny will be leaving for Austria as Malaysia’s new Ambassador to the Republic after receiving her letter of credence from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, at Istana Negara recently.
During the nearly one-hour meeting, Wan Junaidi congratulated Fenny on her appointment and expressed appreciation for her commitment, dedication and outstanding service while leading the Sarawak Regional Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 2024.
Fenny also conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to Wan Junaidi and Fauziah for their support, guidance and advice throughout her tenure in Sarawak.
Wan Junaidi and Fauziah expressed confidence that Fenny’s extensive diplomatic experience, including her previous service as Malaysia’s Ambassador to Peru and postings in Geneva and other diplomatic missions, would enable her to excel in her new role and further strengthen bilateral relations between Malaysia and Austria.
They also wished Fenny good health and every success in carrying out her responsibilities while continuing to uphold Malaysia’s image and interests on the international stage.
