KUCHING: Head of State Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud performed Friday prayers with 500 residents of Bekenu at the Al-Muttaqin Bekenu mosque yesterday.
After the prayers, he also presented grants to three mosques in Bekenu, namely,
Sinaran Kampung Rancah-Rancah, Jihadullah Kampung Pejuang Kelulit and Masjid Al-Muttaqin; each received RM20,000.
Also present was Sarawak Islamic Council chairman Datuk Misnu Taha.
