KUCHING: Renowned corporate leader Dato’ Sri Idris Jala has urged leaders to embrace courage, clarity and faith in driving transformation, as he shared his “six secrets of transformational leadership” during the DBNA Bidayuh Forum 2025 here recently.
The president and chairman of PEMANDU Associates and former Malaysia Airlines chief executive officer (CEO) said real transformation demands both Transformational Leadership (TL), particularly the mindset, character and courage of a leader, and the Transformational Way of Working (TWW), a structured method that translates vision into measurable results.
Among his six leadership principles were setting bold goals beyond perceived limits, maintaining focus on data and measurable outcomes, turning plans into action through disciplined collaboration, and forging strong, united teams to achieve extraordinary goals.
He also reminded leaders to remain humble and acknowledge the role of faith and timing in achieving success.
Forum organising chairman Dr Clarence Jerry thanked Idris for sharing his expertise.
“His insights have truly inspired our participants to dream big, act boldly, and lead with purpose,” Dr Clarence said.
