KUCHING: A total of 30 recipients in the Satok constituency benefited from the 2026 ‘Ihsan Ramadan’ Programme held in conjunction with the fasting month.
The welfare initiative involved 15 beneficiaries from the Kampung Masjid branch and another 15 from the Bandarsah branch.
The programme was officiated by Deputy Minister for Utility (Sarawak Energy Berhad and PETROS) Datuk Ibrahim Baki, who said both the ‘Jelajah Ramadan’ and ‘Ihsan Ramadan’ initiatives are ongoing efforts to stay connected with the people while extending assistance to those in need across the Satok constituency.
He said that such programmes not only help ease the financial burden of recipients but also strengthen ties between leaders and the community, particularly during the holy month.
“Ramadan is a time for us to strengthen our ‘ukhuwah’, help those in need, and improve ourselves so that we can build a more caring and respectful society,” he said.
He also encouraged Muslims to increase their prayers and seek blessings, forgiveness and well-being throughout Ramadan.
The programme reflects the continued commitment to prioritise the welfare of the people while fostering unity and a strong sense of social responsibility within the community.
