IPOH, Perak: The National Entrepreneurship Institute (INSKEN) has urged Malay entrepreneurs to strengthen their businesses through digitalisation following global economic uncertainty due to the conflict in West Asia.
INSKEN Chairman, Datuk Mustaffa Kamil Ayub, said current developments require more agile strategic shifts, particularly in the use of digital technologies, to ensure business continuity.
“The country’s experience during the COVID-19 pandemic has shown that digital commerce could be among the main drivers to help entrepreneurs survive during times of crisis.
“Therefore, Malay entrepreneurs need to master technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital marketing, and the fast-developing marketing automation systems that can help grow their businesses,” he told reporters after officiating the 2026 Niaga MADANI Forum and Perak Malay Chamber of Commerce’s (DPMM) 11th Annual General Meeting here today (April 19).
Also present was DPMM’s Deputy President, Amirhamzah Karim.
Mustaffa Kamil said that to assist entrepreneurs in mastering the digital medium, the implementation of the MADANI Inclusive Entrepreneur Reference Centre (PRIME) in every state serves as a key catalyst in providing a more comprehensive and structured access to guidance.
He said the initiative also involves strategic collaboration with DPMM at both the national and state levels to expand the reach of assistance to the community of entrepreneurs.
“We launched PRIME last year, which functions as a one-stop centre connecting entrepreneurs with 66 government agencies, thereby facilitating access to various forms of assistance, financing, training, and business advisory services provided.
“This year, we will expand the programme to the district level to ensure more entrepreneurs benefit from the implementation of this one-stop centre,” he said. – BERNAMA
