KUCHING: While international accolades have elevated her music career, JessC believes her greatest purpose is using music to bring hope, comfort and healing to people facing illness, emotional struggles and life’s challenges.
The international recording artist, who holds dual doctoral qualifications in Oncology and Health Sciences, has combined her medical background with her passion for music as a certified therapeutic musician dedicated to promoting healing through song.
Speaking at the JessC USA Music Awards Celebration Dinner held at the Grand Riverine Ballroom here on Wednesday (Aug. 5), she said creating meaningful music that uplifts and encourages others remains at the heart of her work.
“Looking ahead, I will continue creating original music in Chinese, English and Malay while further expanding my healing music initiatives,” she added.
JessC said she hopes her songs can offer encouragement to those navigating difficult moments while demonstrating that music has the power to transcend language, culture and personal circumstances.
She added that her long term vision extends beyond performing on international stages, with plans to connect people through music, art, charity and cultural exchange.
“I hope to continue connecting people from different cultures through music, art, charity and cultural exchange, allowing more people around the world to experience hope, strength and love through music.”
JessC said her team is also preparing for the international tour of Echoes of Artistry, a multidisciplinary stage production that blends Chinese culture, music, dance, martial arts and contemporary stage artistry.
She revealed plans to bring the production to Kuching in January 2027, expressing hope that audiences here will have the opportunity to experience the show as part of its international tour.
