KUCHING: Motorists using Jalan Wan Alwi will have to brace for traffic changes as a section of the road in front of Perumahan Kastam Tabuan Jaya will be temporarily diverted for six months beginning Jul 24 to facilitate construction works.
The diversion, which will be in effect 24 hours daily, is scheduled to run from July 24, 2026 to Jan 23, 2027.
Sarawak Metro Sdn Bhd, in a public notice, advised motorists to drive cautiously and comply with all traffic management measures, road warning signs and speed limits throughout the construction period to safeguard both road users and construction workers.
Road users are also encouraged to plan their journeys in advance as traffic flow along the affected stretch may be impacted during the works.
Sarawak Metro said it would keep the public informed should there be any changes to the traffic diversion arrangements.
