Long Napir Health Clinic project to start later this year

The construction of the Long Napir Health Clinic is expected to commence in the third quarter of this year.

Public Health, Housing and Local Government Deputy Minister Datuk Michael Tiang Ming Tee said the RM9.523 million project will serve about 296 residents in the area.

He said the project cost had been revised from the original RM3 million and is currently under direct negotiation by the Sarawak Public Works Department.

“The project components include a Type 6 clinic building and eight Class G residential units

“The clinic will be staffed by 10 personnel, comprising one medical officer, one pharmacy assistant, two medical assistants, four nurses, one community nurse and one driver,” he said during Q&A session today.

Tiang added the Mobile Health Team from the Limbang Divisional Health Office currently visits the area once a month, with an average of 90 patients recorded per visit.
