Lukanisman visits rural health clinic to inspect facilities, conditions

SIMUNJAN: Deputy Health Minister, Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni has been doing his round of working visit to health facilities within the state with the objective of inspecting the conditions and facilities at health clinics and offices.

Last Friday, he visited the Simunjan Maternal and Child Health Clinic and the Simunjan District Health to ascertain the conditions of both clinics as it was important that these health facilities able to provide good services to the community there.

Lukanisman’s arrival was welcomed by Batang Sadong MP Rodiyah Sapiee, Simunjan assemblyman Awla Dris, and health officers from both health facilities.

Lukanisman, who is also the Sibuti MP, was briefed by Simunjan district health officer Dr Joshua Peterson regarding the conditions and facilities that require attention from the ministry.

He then proceeded with his working visit to Gedong with Rodiyah, to inspect the Gedong Health Clinic, where he was welcomed by Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais, the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) adviser to the Ministry of International Trade, Industry and Investment.

While there, Lukanisman was briefed by Gedong Health Clinic medical officer Dr Meerashini Nookkaloo. Also present were Sarawak Health Department director Dr Veronica Lugah, Simunjan District officer Seroji Ludin, and Gedong District officer Tamida Da’adi.
