MIRI: A local man believed to be involved in a break-in at a grocery store in Pujut 4 here was detained Sunday (Dec 13).
The police are also looking for another suspect in connection with the case.
Today’s arrest (Sunday) was made around 2pm by a team from Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
The suspect was detained near a budget hotel in Permyjaya.
Also seized was a motorcycle that the suspect used in the incident.
In the incident which was reported on Dec 10 (Thursday), the suspect and his friend (who is still at large) had gone into the premises and stole cash amounting RM5,000.
Their images entering the premises were caught by the shop’s CCTV.
The case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code for house breaking.
